STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Rwave Volleyball

These Terms and Conditions apply to all tournaments, clinics, open play sessions, and related activities organized under the Rwave Volleyball movement (“Rwave Volleyball”).

By registering, participating, or making any payment, participants acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of the Organization

Rwave Volleyball is a community-driven sports movement focused on organizing beach volleyball tournaments, clinics, and open play activities in Puerto Rico. Rwave Volleyball is not currently incorporated as a formal business entity.

2. Registration and Payments

All registration fees must be paid within the timeframe indicated at the time of registration. Fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Rwave Volleyball. Failure to complete payment may result in loss of the reserved spot without prior notice.

3. Event Changes and Cancellations

Rwave Volleyball reserves the right to modify schedules, formats, locations, categories, or prizes, or to cancel an event due to weather conditions, safety concerns, low participation, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to notify participants.

4. Prizes

Prize distribution, when applicable, will be communicated prior to the event. Cash prize pots apply only to categories explicitly designated as such. Non-cash prizes, merchandise, or certificates may apply to other categories as announced.

5. Liability Waiver

Participants acknowledge that beach volleyball and related activities involve inherent risks, including physical injury. By participating, each individual voluntarily assumes all risks and agrees to release Rwave Volleyball, organizers, volunteers, and collaborators from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation.

6. Conduct

Participants are expected to maintain respectful and sportsmanlike behavior. Rwave Volleyball reserves the right to remove any participant who engages in unsafe, unsportsmanlike, or disruptive conduct, without refund.

7. Claims

Any claim related to an event must be submitted in writing within eight (8) days following the conclusion of the event. Claims submitted after this period will not be considered.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
